Valerie Bonifield is admitted to practice law in Connecticut. She joined Blair & Potts as an associate attorney in 2024.

Valerie's practice focuses on estate planning and estate and trust administration. Valerie advises individuals and families on crafting sophisticated estate plans to meet their personal goals, with particular emphasis on estate, gift and generation-skipping transfer tax planning, and assists clients and their financial advisors with the administration of estates.

Valerie received Bachelor of Arts degrees in Political Science and Public Relations from the University of Georgia in 2018. In 2024, she earned her J.D. and a Certificate in Tax Studies from the University of Connecticut School of Law. During her final semester of law school, she participated in the New York Pro Bono Scholars program and worked full time at the University of Connecticut School of Law Tax Clinic representing low-income taxpayers in audits, appeals, and tax collection disputes before the IRS and in Tax Court. Prior to joining Blair & Potts, Valerie worked for experienced trusts and estate planning attorneys in both Florida and Connecticut.
